Oven-Cooked Tomahawk Ribeye

  • 1 30oz dry-aged tomahawk ribeye steak
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • salt
  • ground black pepper


  • Season both sides of the tomahawk ribeye with salt. Leave at room temperature for 45 minutes. Heat a cast-iron skillet with oil to high, and preheat the oven to 425 degrees
  • Sprinkle black pepper on steaks. Transfer steaks to the skillet. Sear on each side for 2-3 minutes until a golden-brown crust forms
  • Move the skillet to the middle oven rack. Cook for 15-20 minutes or until a meat thermometer reaches the temperature range for your preferred doneness
  • Rest for 5-10 minutes on a plate tented with foil. Enjoy!
