Season the pork steaks with your preferred seasoning, rub, or marinade. Let them absorb the flavors for at least 30 minutes or overnight for more flavor.
Turn on the Instant Pot and select the Sauté or equivalent function if you’re using a different model. Add oil to the pot.
Once the oil is hot, sear the pork steaks for 2-3 minutes on each side until they get that nice brown crust. Remove the steaks from the pot and set aside.
Deglaze the pot by adding the chicken or beef broth and scraping the bottom to release any flavorful bits.
Place a trivet at the bottom of the Instant Pot and place the seared pork steaks on top.
Close the Instant Pot lid and make sure the valve is sealed in position.
Choose the function for cooking and set the timer for 8-10 minutes. You may need to adjust the time depending on the thickness of the steaks.
Once the steaks are cooked, allow for a natural release of pressure for about 10 minutes then slowly release any remaining steam using the venting function.
Open the lid and transfer the pork steaks to a serving platter. Let them rest for a few minutes before serving with your favorite side dishes.
