Course Main Course, Main Dish

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless or bone-in pork chops, about 3/4 of an inch thick
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
  • 1 tsp ground mustard
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 cup olive oil

Instructions

  • Take the pork chops out of the refrigerator and let them come up to room temperature. This should take around 10 to 15 minutes. Pat the surface dry with a paper towel.
  • Rub the pork chops with olive oil. Mix the rub together in a separate bowl, then sprinkle it over the pork chops. Rub the seasoning into the surface until each chop has a thick coating of it.
  • Bring the air fryer up to temperature at 400 degrees. Place one or two pork chops in the frying chamber. Make sure there’s at least ½ inch of space between them.
  • Fry for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the pork chops are 140 degrees F inside. Flip at least once for even cooking.

Notes

Pork chops need to reach 145 degrees F for food safety reasons, but they will rise another 5 degrees after being removed from the air fryer.
