4boneless or bone-in pork chops, about 3/4 of an inch thick
2tbspbrown sugar
1tbsppaprika
1tspchili powder
2tspsalt
1tspfreshly cracked black pepper
1tspground mustard
1tspgarlic powder
1/2tsponion powder
1/4cupolive oil
Instructions
Take the pork chops out of the refrigerator and let them come up to room temperature. This should take around 10 to 15 minutes. Pat the surface dry with a paper towel.
Rub the pork chops with olive oil. Mix the rub together in a separate bowl, then sprinkle it over the pork chops. Rub the seasoning into the surface until each chop has a thick coating of it.
Bring the air fryer up to temperature at 400 degrees. Place one or two pork chops in the frying chamber. Make sure there’s at least ½ inch of space between them.
Fry for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the pork chops are 140 degrees F inside. Flip at least once for even cooking.
Notes
Pork chops need to reach 145 degrees F for food safety reasons, but they will rise another 5 degrees after being removed from the air fryer.*photo by Kaymann Woo licensed under CC BY-SA 2.0
