The Best Crockpot Top Sirloin

Course Main Course

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs top sirloin steak
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Cut your steak into bite size pieces and season lightly with salt and pepper
  • Heat the olive oil in your crock pot over medium heat, brown your top sirloin steak chunks, transfer everything to a dish, and set aside
  • In the same pot, cook all the aromatics (garlic and onion) for 5 minutes. Add in the dried oregano and red pepper flakes briefly (around a minute)
  • Pour in the beef broth, mix well, then reintroduce the cooked steak chunks to the pot
  • Place the lid, set the timer to 6-8 hours, set the temperature on low heat, and cook until tender. Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness, or simply take a bite out of the meat chunks
  • Once done cooking, turn the heat off and serve!
