Course Main Course

Ingredients

  • 2 pork loin steaks (about 1 inch thick)
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste
  • garlic powder, to taste
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil (such as canola or vegetable oil)

Instructions

  • Season the pork loin steaks liberally with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder on both sides then let sit for 30 minutes.
  • Heat a frying pan over medium-high heat then add the cooking oil and allow it to heat up.
  • Carefully place the seasoned pork loin steaks into the hot pan. Cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, searing until you get a golden brown crust.
  • Reduce the heat to medium and cook pork for another 4-5 minutes. Make sure the internal temperature of the steaks reaches 145°F (63°C).
  • Once cooked, move the pork loin steaks to a plate and rest for a few minutes before serving.
  • Serve the hot with your choice of side dishes and enjoy!

Notes

  • Thicker steaks may require a slightly longer cooking time, while thinner ones may cook faster, so make adjustments as necessary.
  • For a tangy twist, squeeze some fresh lemon juice over the cooked steaks before serving.
