Preparing Your Steak for the Best Experience

Thawing
If frozen, thaw your steak in a pan under refrigeration for about 24 hours to catch any natural drippings.

Season & Handle
Season just before cooking. Always use tongs when flipping—never a fork, which can puncture the steak and lose some of those flavorful juices.

Resting
After cooking, let your steak rest for at least 5 minutes so the juices redistribute evenly.

All of our steaks are vacuum wrapped and flash frozen in their natural juices to lock in the flavor. The steaks are then wrapped in our attractive food grade paper, sealed with the Chicago Steak Company gold label, and placed in our gorgeous gift box. Those gift boxes are placed inside our reusable insulated cooler with enough dry ice to keep them cold until arrival. The steak itself was GREAT . . . the problem I had was the dry ice was GONE . . . melted before I received the steaks. They were unfrozen when I received them. I had to eat them quickly. Other than not enough dry ice . . . it was GREAT. PS, I do live in Arizona and it is HOT1

The filet steaks at 5oz is fine, price is great per each.
Nicely trimmed and tastes delicious.
The vacuum seal is tight and compact, but difficult to open.
Need cutting sheers to open. Same with the 6oz frozen hamburgers.
Tasty but difficult to open. Omaha Steaks/burgers are easier to open.
