Locking In the Flavors

Chicago Steak Company’s aging and flash-freezing processes are one-of-a-kind and set the industry standard. Each one of your steak burgers will be perfectly aged for four to six weeks to lock in flavors and texture. Then, they’re flash-frozen in their own juices to keep them incredibly juicy when you’re ready to eat them. You’ll receive them within a few days of ordering burgers!

How to Cook Your Steak Burgers - Quick Guide

From Frozen or Thawed
Our burgers can be cooked straight from frozen or thawed overnight under refrigeration

Season & Handle
Season just before cooking. Handle gently. Don't press down on the burger while cooking — this forces out juices

Resting
After cooking, let burgers rest for 2–3 minutes before serving

Burger Cooking Tips

1. Preheat well.
Grill or skillet should be medium-high to high. Cast iron should be hot but not smoking.
(Grill target: ~350–400°F)

2. Lightly oil the surface.
Oil grill grates or pan just before cooking to prevent sticking.

3. Cook undisturbed.
Place burgers on the hot surface and cook without moving for about 5–6 minutes. Flip once when juices begin to appear on top.

4. Flip & finish.
Cook the second side for 4–6 minutes, depending on thickness and desired doneness.

5. Check doneness (use a thermometer).

Medium Rare: 130°–135°F (warm red center)
Medium: 140°–145°F (warm pink center)
Medium Well: 150°–155°F (slight pink
Well Done: 160°F+ (no pink)

USDA recommends ground beef be cooked to 160°F

6. Rest & serve.

Rest 2–3 minutes for the juiciest burger.

Those gift boxes are placed inside our reusable insulated cooler with enough dry ice to keep them cold until arrival.
