Sweet, Sour, and Spicy Marinated T-Bone Recipe

Reading Time: 2 minutes Back to 2 minutes version

Steak marinades lend boast-worthy tastes to already robust steaks, giving your meals unique flavors you can’t get from a steak alone. And, when you let a steak marinade for several hours or overnight, you can get an even better texture as the acids permeate the meat to break down fibers.

Our Sweet, Sour, and Spicy T-bone marinade gives an exciting blend of flavors to please almost anyone’s palette. Thanks to natural acids from some pineapple juice and balsamic vinegar, our T-bone steaks cook to a beautifully tender texture. Sear them to lock in the sweet, sour, and spicy tastes of the marinade for one of the best T-bone steaks you’ll ever have.

  2. Place steaks separately into food storage bags and pour equal parts of the marinade over each steak until it’s coated.
  3. Place bags flat in the refrigerator and allow to marinate for several hours, preferably overnight.
  4. About 30 minutes before you’re ready to cook, let the steaks rest at room temperature.
  5. Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  6. Sear each steak for 3-4 minutes on each side until a brown crust forms and the internal temperature comes to 125 degrees.
  7. Allow to rest for 5 minutes on a cutting board before enjoying.

If desired, you can warm the marinade over low heat on the stove to drizzle over steaks after letting them rest.
