Turkey Cooking Instructions

Hams & turkeys are fully cooked, shipped frozen, need to allow time to thaw in the refrigerator. Fast thaw by keeping the item in is vacuum seal and submerging in cool water, changing often. The ham or turkey can be served without any additional preparation.

Turkey – Heating:
If heating is desired, slow heat in the oven while covered with heavy duty foil on a rack. You may want to put a little water in the roasting pan under the rack. Heat to desired personal taste DO NOT COOK.

If heating is desired, slow heat in the oven while covered with heavy duty foil on a rack. You may want to put a little water in the roasting pan under the rack. Heat to desired personal taste DO NOT COOK. Do not heat at a high temperature. Cover with heavy duty foil.

Preparation/Handling:
Remove thawed turkey from plastic bag and place in shallow baking pan. Apply chosen rub over entire product. Add 1 cup water and cover with foil tent. Cook in oven at 325ºF until the internal temperature reaches 165ºF (3 1/2 hours in a conventional oven and 3 hours in a convection oven). For last 1/2 hour of cooking, remove foil tent. Cooking times will be longer if the product is not completely thawed. Cooking times will vary with individual units and cooking equipment. When cooked, remove from oven and carve from the front.
