- 4 trout filets
- 2-3 Tbsp. Olive Oil
- Sea Salt (to taste)
- Black Pepper (to taste)
- Dried seasonings of choice (such as garlic powder, cumin, paprika, etc.) or premade seasoning blend of choice
- Lemon and/or fresh herbs for serving
With ingredients gathered, follow the simple steps below to have a meal on the table in under 30 minutes.
- Pat your trout filets dry to remove any excess moisture. Season with desired seasonings or spice blends, plus salt and pepper as desired.
- Next, preheat a large pan over medium/high heat.
- Let the pan heat up, then add your olive oil, making sure it evenly coats the pan.
- Place filets in the heated pan, leaving room between each filet. (Avoid overcrowding the pan, as this will disrupt browning)
- Cook on the first side for 3 minutes, flip and continue for another 3.
- Check for doneness by inserting an instant read thermometer into the fish. The internal temperature should be 145 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Once cooked, remove from the pan and serve. Sprinkle with lemon and fresh herbs if desired. Enjoy!
