Steakhouse Overview
Possibly Madison’s best – and certainly one of its most popular – chop shops, Tornado Steak House has been a staple of the city’s dining and late night scene for nearly 20 years. With a retro-modern vibe and spare-but-decadent menu, Tornado is most known for its quality steaks, which include a 20 oz., bone-in tenderloin. Other menu items range from well-made standards, such as their rack of lamb, to more adventurous fare, like the frog leg appetizer, which comes sautéed in a mixture of brandy, garlic, and honey. Tornado’s cocktail and late-night menus are also much-loved – who knew that a bleu cheese burger this good could be had for less than ten dollars?
