Steakhouse Overview
Italian-American cooking and mid-20th-century style are hallmarks at Johnny’s. Steaks, while dry-aged, aren’t USDA Prime certified. Unsurprisingly, sauce and cheese heavier steaks are the restaurant’s specialty. The Parmesan Crusted NY Strip, Drunken Steak (sirloin), and Filet Oscar are all worthwhile dishes, as are many of the pastas. The Ravioli, in particular, makes an excellent appetizer. Johnny’s loses points for its good-but-not-quite-great wine menu and its bland dessert selections. But for those in the neighborhood with a stomach for steak, Johnny’s will more than do.
