Steakhouse Overview

Keens Steakhouse opened in 1885, and has thrived for over 125 years. They do it by serving well-seasoned, expertly grilled steaks and their justly famous lamb chops, with their mutton described as both “Amazing” and “Magnificent” by New York Times food critic Frank Bruni. Beyond their exquisite steaks and chops, Keens charm draws on its stubbornly as-it-was interior. The paneled walls are lined by Reconstruction-era newsprints and its ceiling holds over 90,000 clay pipes – a onetime post-porterhouse treat for satisfied diners.
