Steakhouse Overview
The Mason Street Grill is housed in the Pfister Hotel, and offers Madison a distinctly upscale, if slightly uninspired, modern take on the classic steakhouse. Service is prompt, the hosts and hostesses spiffily dressed, and the wait staff knowledgeable. Steaks are offered in two varieties: “House Cuts” and “Linz Heritage Beef.” Of your options, the 20 oz. Linz heritage rib-eye, dry-aged a mind-boggling 75 days, is easily the most indulgent. Mason Street also offers options for steak pan-roasted wild mushrooms and custom steak crusts such as black pepper and blue cheese. While Mason Street Grill isn’t likely to overwhelm you with its inventiveness, service and quality are remarkably consistent.
