In terms of ambiance, Old Homestead is due for a bit of an update, but that’s forgivable when you’ve been serving premium steaks and chops since 1866. Situated in Chelsea’s meatpacking district, Old Homestead was originally a dockworkers chophouse. That connection to the docks lives on in their delectable raw bar. On the steak side, their strip and prime rib are both house specialties. The atmosphere is decidedly old-school, a little stuffily so, and the cow sculpture out front is maybe a bit of an eyesore, but for a great steak and relaxed atmosphere, Old Homestead has you covered.
