Quick and Hearty Steak Fried Rice Recipe

Steak and traditional Asian flavors are two things that pair perfectly together, especially for a hearty dinner. Combine your favorite rice and stir-fry-worthy vegetables with our Premium Angus Top Sirloin and you’ll have a filling meal for the family to enjoy – and it’ll be ready and on your table in about half an hour. 


The best part of this recipe is that you can experiment to your heart’s content. Add red peppers or sugar snap peas to the mix, for example. You can also go heavier on the soy sauce to suit your taste buds or add a splash of vinegar for a tangier result.   • 1 lb. Chicago Steak Company Premium Angus Beef Top Sirloin, cut into ½-inch thick strips.
  • 2 cups of your favorite long-grain rice, cooked
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup frozen peas
  • 2 cups frozen broccolli
  • 1 tbsp Ginger
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce, plus 2 tbsp.
  • 2 tsp Sesame Oil
  • 2 tbsp olive oil, plus 1 tsp.

  • 1 lb. Chicago Steak Company Premium Angus Beef Top Sirloin, cut into ½-inch thick strips.
  • 2 cups of your favorite long-grain rice, cooked
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup frozen peas
  • 2 cups frozen broccolli
  • 1 tbsp Ginger
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce, plus 2 tbsp.
  • 2 tsp Sesame Oil
  • 2 tbsp olive oil, plus 1 tsp.
Instructions
  1. Whisk eggs with salt and pepper until well blended. Set aside.
  2. Preheat 10-inch skillet with olive oil over medium-high heat.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix together the steak, sesame oil, soy sauce, and salt and pepper.
  4. Add the steak mixture to the pan and cook until browned and slightly cooked, occasionally stirring, for about 3 minutes. Put the steak on a plate and set aside.
  5. Add 1 tsp. of olive oil to the pan, plus the broccoli, peas, and ginger. Fry, stirring occasionally, until vegetables turn tender (about 5 minutes).
  6. Add garlic to the pan and stir, cooking for another minute or so until fragrant.
  7. Add the beaten eggs to the pan and cook for about 30 seconds until done, stirring until crumbled and mixed through the vegetables.
  8. Bring the sirloin strips back to the pan, along with the cooked rice and 2 tbsp. soy sauce. Stir everything together and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes until heated through.
Recipe Notes

This quick and easy meal is one you’ll probably want to add to your monthly meal list. It’s also perfect for a make-ahead dinner on extra busy nights.

Cook the rice according to instructions and, separately, cook the vegetables in a 2 tbsp. of oil. Mix them together over medium heat with soy sauce until heated through. Store the mixture in a heat-safe container in the fridge until you’re ready for the meal. Cook up your steak using the instructions above, add the rice and vegetable mixture, and stir occasionally, cooking until heated through. Enjoy!
